TWP Academy is a training ground to help develop enduring leadership exploring theological depth & healthy formational practices with trusted people to walk alongside participants as they learn. Creating space for the emerging worship leaders in the local church to become faithful, equipped and prepared for the realities of leadership.

ONLINE + IN PERSON

Weekly live teaching online, discussion groups, and mentorship sessions. With select in-person community building opportunities throughout the year.

Includes the Academy Retreat and Wonder Conference. (Flights are not included).

THE ACADEMY EXpERIENCE

A rhythm designed around leaders already serving in the local church.

LIVE TEACHING + DISCUSSION SESSIONS

Academy gathers online for 26 live teaching and cohort discussion sessions. Each weekly session is approximately 3 hours. Holidays and scheduled breaks are built into the Academy calendar.

BIWEEKLY MENTORSHIP

Paired with a trusted mentor for virtual 1-on-1 conversations every other week, creating space to process their real ministry context, personal formation, and leadership development.

ACADEMY
RETREAT

Early in the program, the cohort gathers in person for the Academy Retreat — an opportunity to build relationships, learn, and establish the foundation for the year ahead.

WORSHIP
COMMUNITY

Participants are encouraged to get involved in Worship Leader Community Nights throughout the year where an active gathering exists in their region.

WONDER
CONFERENCE

The Academy journey culminates alongside Wonder Conference. The cohort will have the opportunity to participate in, and contribute to the national conference together.

Developing a biblical and theological foundation for worship that shapes how we lead, plan, and serve the local church.

WORSHIP LEADERSHIP

Equipping leaders to plan, communicate, rehearse, and lead worship ministries with clarity & excellence.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Learning how to lead a visionary ministry & shape team culture employing wisdom, and to have effective collaboration with other ministries within the local church.

FAQ

Worship leaders who are already serving in the local church and are ready to grow in theological depth, leadership capacity, and personal formation as they discern and develop their calling in worship ministry.

TWP Academy is primarily online. Weekly live teaching, development discussions, and biweekly mentorship all happen virtually.

The Academy Retreat is in person, Worship Leader Community Nights are available in select regions, and the cohort may also participate in the Wonder Conference at the end of the program.

Tuition includes the full 9-month Academy experience, live teaching and cohort discussions, biweekly mentorship, the Academy Retreat, and a Wonder Conference ticket. (Flights are not included)

Approximately 5-7 hours a week.

Not every week of the nine-month program includes a live class, as holidays and scheduled breaks are built into the calendar.

The weekly meeting day and time are still being finalized and will be communicated before the Academy begins. The calendar will include scheduled breaks around holidays.

No. Academy is designed to serve worship leaders across Canada. Most of the program takes place online.

No. Where a Worship Leader Community Night exists locally, the cohort will be encouraged to participate.

Not having a Community Night in your region does not prevent you from participating in the TWP Academy.

No. Wonder Conference is an optional in-person experience at the conclusion of the Academy year. However, we highly encourage students are attend and to bring their teams to Wonder.
