The Worship Project is a growing movement of worship communities across Canada passionate in seeing worship leaders and teams become spiritually renewed, creatively inspired, and well equipped to lead their local churches with authenticity, humility and confidence.
OUR MISSION
We’re building a nationwide movement of worship leaders and teams united by community, creativity, and growth — through our expanding network of Worship Communities, Wonder Conference, the Worship Academy, designed to foster connection, formation, and leadership nationwide.
OUR VALUES
Presence Before Platform
We believe worship leadership begins with being with Jesus, not being seen by people. We want to cultivate spiritual renewal and encourage leaders that ministry flows out from a life abiding with God.
Formation Before Function
We care about who a leader is becoming, not simply what they can produce. We invest in character, spiritual health, identity, and the kind of formation that spurs on leaders and pastors to remain healthy and faithful over the long haul.
Community Over Competition
We believe worship leaders, pastors, and churches are stronger when they learn from, and champion one another. We value genuine relationships across cultures and denominations. Marked by unity, collaboration, and vulnerability rather than comparison.
Radical Hospitality
We intentionally create spaces where people feel welcomed, seen, known, & valued. From a regional gathering to a national conference or cohort experience, we want people to experience care, intentionality and carry a sense of belonging.
Creativity With Purpose
We value the arts as meaningful expressions of worship and believe creativity has an important place in the life of the local church. We want to inspire worship leaders and teams to grow in creative expression, including cultivating local songwriting that gives voice to what God is doing within their own communities.
Excellence as Stewardship
We believe what we have been entrusted with, is worth doing well. We value preparation, intentionality, quality, and attention to detail in the experiences, resources, relationships, and opportunities we create for Canadian leaders.
FOR THE CHURCH
We exist to strengthen the local church. Everything we do is ultimately meant to connect, inspire, and equip worship leaders and pastors to serve their churches with greater health, confidence, and faithfulness.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
GOD
There is one everlasting & true living God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is perfect in love, holiness, wisdom & power. He is the creator of all creation, and is sovereign in the world working towards the redemption of humanity.
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God & fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. Having lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead according to the scriptures. Now at the right hand of God as our High Priest, and will come again to establish His kingdom. Because of His sacrifice and resurrection, we are reconciled with God & empowered through the work of the Holy Spirit.
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is a divine person sent by the Father, and the Son to indwell in all believers for: spiritual illumination, convince the world of sin & righteousness, helping to empower and guide us in our faith.
THE HOLY BIBLE
The Holy Bible, consisting of the Old & New Testaments, is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. The authoritative and trustworthy rule for Christian faith, teaching, daily living, and is the complete revelation of God’s will for all humanity. We rely on the Holy Spirit to illuminate the scriptures, guide us in understanding and applying them faithfully.
PEOPLE
People were created to enjoy relationship with God, one another, and steward creation. All of humanity, both male & female, created in the image of God, and therefore possess inherent value, worth, and dignity. Through sin and disobedience, humanity has become separated from God, under His judgement & is completely dependent on His grace for salvation.
SALVATION
Salvation from sin and death is provided only through Jesus Christ. All people who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are justified, restoring their relationship with God, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and are born again into a life following Jesus Christ.
CHURCH
The universal church occurs in local communities of believers all over the world. Which Christ is the Head, and commissioned to go bear witness to God’s Kingdom to the world, sharing the gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in community together to worship God, pray, fellowship, be edified through the Word of God, observe baptism and to partake in the Lord’s Supper together. Local churches collaborate with other like-minded churches for accountability, encouragement, and mission.
WORSHIP
True worship flows out of a sincere heart, spirit, and aligning with biblical truth. Worship is directed to God the Father, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and made possible through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Worship also extends beyond a weekly gathering, or musical genre to encompass daily obedience, devotion, and surrender to God.
SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
There is an appointed day when Jesus Christ will visibly return, bringing the bodily resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous and the final judgment of all people. The righteous will enter eternal life with God, and Christ’s kingdom will be brought to its full completion in the new heavens and the new earth, as promised in Scripture.
CHRISTIAN CONDUCT
It is the will of God that all who believe in Jesus Christ live for the glory of God and the dignity of others, pursuing sanctified lives that are set apart from the ways of the world. Instructed by Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit, believers are called to sacrificial living, faithful stewardship of all God has entrusted to them, and continued growth toward maturity in Christ.
MARRIAGE
Marriage is a covenant relationship that is instituted by God, designed to unite one man and one woman until death does them part.
